Seven years on from the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre, New York hosted a memorial service in honour of the 2,973 people who lost their lives. Families of the victims were joined in downtown Manhattan by City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and President Bush, who described 9/11 as “the worst day in America’s history”.
