The presence of some 15,000 Romany gypsies from Bulgaria and Romania on French territory is causing tension. Peggy Hollinger looks at two experimental temporary shelters offering education and help in finding a job - the prerequisite to being allowed to stay in France permanently - and the chance for the displaced gypsies to be finally integrated into French society.
