The full effects of Friday March 11’s devastating earthquake and resulting tsunami in Japan are gradually become clear. The death toll is in the thousands, but likely to rise, and officials are still battling to contain nuclear meltdown at a key power plant.

This interactive map shows the areas of greatest devastation, the numbers killed and injured, as well as mapping Japan’s key energy infrastructure.
