The Boundary Commission for Scotland has released its proposals for reducing the number of Scottish MPs in Westminster by seven seats. This map shows how Scotland’s representation in parliament could be affected.

The FT’s initial analysis of proposal’s political impact, shown on this interactive map, suggests that only one Scottish Tory and three of the 11 current Scottish Liberal Democrat MPs are likely to lose their seats as a result of the boundary changes. Labour could lose three MPs, while the Scottish National Party is likely to retain those that it has.

Toggle the radio buttons on the map to switch between the current and proposed constituency boundaries.
