Foreign-owned companies have been in the Chinese regulators’ spotlight this year with high-profile probes into infant formula and drug pricing.

On Wednesday, the National Development and Reform Commission, which polices some aspects of China’s 2008 antitrust law, said it had fined six western companies a total of more than $100m for price fixing in the infant formula market.
